So this is another figure that was sold this week. Or not... I'm having second thoughts on this one for sure.

Raquel Gothic – With Pixie Dust

I’ve been putting this off for months, but have finally gotten some time to do a proper photoshoot (34 pix!), review, photoshop image, youtube video, and wallpaper for this well deserved resin statue from e2046. I didn’t want to do a half-decent job because this figure deserves more, and so does e2046. This is probably the biggest post I’ve ever done. Here is an account of my experiences in dealing with e2046’s customer service, as well as an in-depth photoshoot, and photoshop pic after the jump.

As promised, the much anticipated review of Asuka on Motorcycle. I wasn’t even aware that my site has reached 61k hits now! But priorities first – a review of this absolutely amazing investment (yes, investment). More photos after the jump!

Hyudorana Amis Resin

by radiantdreamer January 10, 2009 in Anime Figures 5 comments tags: 1:6 scale, anime, boobs, figure, hobbyfan, hyudorana amis, prepainted, Resin, statue
So I stumbled upon this pretty wicked resin kit on hobbyfan. It’s most impressive with excellent detail, and a creative idea. For $100 for a prepainted statue of this caliber, that’s a pretty slick deal. Especially considering standard PVC figures nowadays can cost upwards to $80 a pop. I would have bought it. But, well… there’s a reason why I decided not to. (NSFW)

Happy Holidays from Radiant Dreamer!

by radiantdreamer December 20, 2008 in Anime Figures, How To Draw Anime & Photoshop, Things I Find Interesting 13 comments tags: 1:6 scale, anime, asuka, christmas, evangelion, figures, holiday, loligoth, photoshop, PVC, santa
Happy holidays everyone! It’s the first day of my holidays, and fortunately all my shopping is done. It’s been snowing a bit here, and apparently, record temperatures, but nowhere near as bad as say, Halifax or something, where the temperatures fall below -40c. Now THAT’S crazy cold! This festive season is when most of my friends have gone back home to visit their families. This of course, makes a boring holiday season for me. But what better time than to put some effort into improving my art, and playing Valkyria Chronicles! I’m fortunate that most of my family is local, so I don’t have to travel long distances to celebrate Christmas with them. In case you’re wondering, no I didn’t get a special variant Loligoth Asuka figure. I am a photoshop artist after all. More on that after the jump!

It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time…

by radiantdreamer June 30, 2008 in Anime Figures 10 comments tags: 1:6 scale, anime, figures, ignis the white, jingai makyou, orchid seed
FINALLY. I’ve sold Ignis the White on Ebay. I’ve had Ignis for a while, but have been itching to get rid of her ever since aquiring her. I bought into the hype way back when she was announced, and when everyone and their dog tried to get one of these. At first, I was indifferent towards it, thinking “yeah, it looks nice, but it’s a big space hogger, and it’s out of my price range. When I saw her available at play-asia, I jumped at the opportunity and bought her for a reasonable price. I was thinking “Yes! I finally get to own such a magnificant figure!” The thing is, she seriously is a big space hog! She took one whole Detolf shelf! She definitely demanded presence. I can’t stop complaining about the problems with this figure. Get ready to hear my rant!

e2046 Elf Ranger

by radiantdreamer June 24, 2008 in Anime Figures 6 comments tags: 1:6 scale, anime, e2046, elf girl, figure, ori, prepainted, ranger, resin kit, statue
So at one point in time, I was on a resin spree, and had purchased three resin statues all over the place. One of which was the Gothic Devil Girl, from HobbyFan, the Asuka on Motorcycle from e2046, and finally this much anticipated Elf Ranger. I had originally missed out on the first run of this prepainted beauty. As you know, I’m a sucker for elf girls. So when this was suddenly open for a second production run, I jumped on it without thinking. Was it worth it? Read on!

Black Lagoon – Revy 1:6 Polystone

by radiantdreamer May 07, 2008 in Anime Figures 9 comments tags: 1:6 scale, anime, black lagoon, figures, photoshop, Polystone, radiantdreamer, Resin, revy
I’ve had this version of Revy for a while now, but it’s only recently that I actually took her out of the packaging. I originally ordered her with the full intention to sell. Seeing as polystone figures seem to be expensive and all, I thought that I could make a small amount from it (like $20 or something). Turns out, that demand for her at the time wasn’t very high. I don’t know if it still is that low, but regardless, I decided to keep her. She’s now on display, but at a sacrifice of putting two other figures away in order to make the space.

Gothic Devil Girl – hobbyfan -Sparkle-

by radiantdreamer April 21, 2008 in Anime Figures 10 comments tags: 1:6 scale, devil, garage kit, girl, gothic, hobbyfan, lolita, pre-painted, Resin, sparkle
Last week, my order for the Gothic Devil Girl from hobbyfan arrived. I would have to say that I’m very impressed with Sparkle’s work. The paint is excellent, with nary a single mistake with their paint lines. Very accurate, and very detailed, with no bleeds, no stray paint, no rough surfaces. It came packed in a nice labeled box in a very well protected cut foam.
