Didn’t feel like doing a photoshop image this week, and wanted to add a little more variety to my blog, so here’s another post on Singapore! It’s been over a month since the trip, so some of the memories have already started to fade a bit. It’s still all good to remember some of these great experiences though! Read more!
1.5 years ago I started to track my gaming trends, how my life’s events affect it, and vice versa. I wanted to do this so I could literally gauge my habits of gaming by the hour. The results are quite an interesting reality check! Read more!
Wow, I never would have thought that I would blog this much. 100 posts is a lot! (and 338 comments since the last time I posted about the 1000 comments!) To celebrate, I thought I'd do something a little special, and write about how this came to be, the best of my blog posts, and what I'm going to do going forward. Read more!
This weekend, I was blessed with the opportunity to meet up with some Singaporean comrades, Zh3us,Yuki-To, Ederuferuto, User66b, and ScorchNRoses, who showed me around the city’s main Anime hotspots. While I’ve been to Singapore many times before this, I never knew where all the good anime stores were. I was limited to the major shopping malls, which were typically over-priced, and incredibly limited in selection. With my new friends, I got to see the more “underside” of where all the best stuff could be found. Read more!
So I’m posting this mostly for the benefit of the people who did not get a chance to see Singapore during their short trip to and from AFA, for those who want to know more about Singapore, and also for those Singaporeans who are expats, and miss home. (Yes, you chun!) Considering that Singapore is the next most proliferant anime hub this side of the english internetz community, it makes sense to know more about Singapore’s people, and its infrastructure and land. I’m not going to delve into the history or its culture. You can find all that on wikipedia or something. I’m more interested in covering the more important aspects… the food, and the shopping! My very first anime convention, and it was the incredibly awesome Anime Festival Asia in Singapore. While many people chose to focus on the merchandise, I decided to focus on the participants of the con – the cosplayers. SIXTY crazy photos ahead! With Singapore being the next most proliferate anime hub, the cosplayers have quite the reputation to hold up, and it doesn’t disappoint. Read more!
I never thought it would be possible, but Radiant Dreamer is now featured on Anime Blips! It was definitely an interesting experience. The interview questions asked were similar to what has been asked of other featured blogs, but Robyn tailored it more geared towards my specialty in photoshop. 🙂 Robyn was a very pleasant person to work with, and informed me that I was ranked at around 100 out of their 600 tracked sites, which was pretty surprising for me, and very flattering. It was an honor to be featured on Anime Blips, and also for having the opportunity to be interviewed by Robyn. If you don’t really know about Anime Blips, they’re a feature site similar to an anime version of Digg, with the ability for users to vote up and vote down interesting topics. This makes it very easy and relevant to anime news readers who want to catch the best quality topics voted by other anime fans of similar interest. Do go check it out, and do vote for me too! The biggest thanks I have to give is only to my readers. You guys are more than just “readers” to me. Being able to connect with […] Read more!
