It’s been a while since I have posted. I wish though, that it was under better circumstances.
Last night, I helplessly watched my adorable little hamster Mochi, breathe his last painful breath while he lay warm in my hands.
He had a great run, though for only a short one year. He provided great therapy for my wife and me, and was always there when we needed him. We did what we could to give him a happy home.
He was our first furry friend, and I still think he’s the cutest little guy we’ve ever met. He learned to love, I think, and appreciate. My wife and I learned to love and appreciate what he had to offer for us too. He will be missed dearly.

I’m sure Mochi enjoyed your company just you enjoyed his. Mochi has probably left to a good place…
I know how it feels to lost a family member.
Just like how my manly tears dripped after hearing my best buddy hershey (half labrador-half poodle) died at the pet clinic just last year.. It’s really sad that I wasn’t able to see him on his final hours.. he died @ 5:00 in the morning.
Just sharing this since it’s related to the article.
Oh well those are things of life, losing a pet can be hard and I have some experience on that field especially when you have to take your 10 year old dog to the vet. to be put to sleep for not to suffer any longer. Everything will go well although things can be a little tough in the first months after their death

Sad to find out what had happened T_T. I don’t have any pet experience, so I can’t really say much, but I do remember you telling me that you got a hamster way back when and you seemed very happy about it.

Thanks everyone. It means a lot to me that you guys are writing. It’s comments like these that make you realize who your friends really are, who you really care about, and who are the people that care about you.
It hurts when you lose a loved one, no matter how long or who/what that loved one is. Sorry for your losses as well, Nopy, samejima, and belela-san.
Things have felt different since Mochi’s death… this past week has felt like one long day blurred together. Everything feels the same. Mochi was the only variable in our constant world.
