Arc System Works Europe will be on the show floor of the London MCM Expo, the premiere of all things anime and comic related in the UK.
While I won’t be there, my exclusive Arcana Heart 3 poster can be obtained there (and only there). So drop by and check it out.
The expo takes place on from Oct 28th to Oct 30th.

Oh lol, I totally thought you were gonna be there, such misleading title.
Pretty cool that people will get the chance to get that one picture in poster form. One of my favorites, too bad it got trimmed a little bit.
Actually, it was my idea to get it angled and trimmed in that way, because I felt it looked more dynamic. I painted it with that in mind, and kept the easter-egg items all within view. You even see me turn the crop frame on and off in my video. 🙂
Yeah, it’s a bit of a misleading title, but I couldn’t think of any other way to say that my poster art would be there while keeping the title short. 😛

Who knows! If a fan supports me, then it shows them that I’m in demand, and may be worth it for them. If you’d like to write them a letter, I’d totally be in support of it!

Yes, unfortunately, it doesn’t look likely that I will be attending AFA this year. My project ends in December, so I may be going to Singapore during Chinese New Year, or slightly before it. Not sure yet.

Too bad I never got to attend any big anime-related events when I was in the UK. London seems to have the most if available, but everywhere else is definitely very barren; you’d be lucky if you can even find a Japanese restaurant sometimes! ^^;
‘fraid not Q. The MCM expo and I don’t really get along to say the least so I went and met up with my folks instead. I do know some others who went though so I may know a few ppl who have one or 2…
Maybe I’ll go to the one next summer to see some of the remaining figure.fm guys but I wouldn’t bet on it.
I am hurt that you didn’t let bygones be bygones and attend, just to get a copy of my poster… 😛
what can I say? bros before hoes and all that. I was tempted (mainly cos I can get free press passes) but family plans come before all (or else I get hurt physically and verbally)

Yeah, London seems to be pretty big on the anime front in very select areas, but it’s obviously still not as big as other places like Hong Kong or Singapore. The fact that there’s a big enough market for an Arc Europe to be established is quite amazing, in my opinion.
Just got to the final destination recently and noticed you posted a new entry. I’m like Miette in that I thought you had been there or were going to haha.
I still feel that you seriously aced the lighting (especially the reflected light.) in this work, and was really surprised at the amount of extra goodies that were present in it.
Most definitely a great find for anyone in the UK :). Unfortunately, I won’t be one of them though :\.

Thanks! It was definitely a lot of fun making this poster. I think I overdid it in a lot of aspects, but Arc seems pretty happy about it. 😀

All of these cool events are always in far-awar cities, it makes me a bit sad. Vancouver is the closest “big” city to me and even then it’s not cheap flying there just for a convention.
Not only that, but the conventions in Vancouver aren’t nearly as great as those in the states. If you ever come to Vancouver, it’d be for the tourist attractions. If you ever do come to Vancouver, let me know and I’d be more than happy to be your tour guide for a day. 🙂
