Late, AND nothing to post about this week! Why? I was internet-less for a few days, and when I got back, was flooded with comments and emails from everywhere. Spent time responding, but then didn’t have time to write a post.
So, here’s three youtube videos of a couple of sketches I made, two of them of Miku. Feel free to comment, critique, etc.
I have some ideas on expanding the second Miku sketch, so stay tuned on an update for that one!

I can definitely feel for you there! Once I had no internet for a whole 2 months. That was a headache! 🙂
As for a critique… I’ve got nothing bad to say at all–only praise. Great work all around. The only thing I guess I could mention is that it looks like you have some difficulty getting the hands and arms in a pose you like :). There’s nothing wrong or bad with that though! 😉
Quick question though, do you draw with your wrist, arm, or both? I’ve been wondering for some time :). I guess it mostly depends on the size tablet you use.

Actually, I was very glad I was without internet for a little while. It was bliss! Nothing to worry about!
I typically get finicky with hands and arms. They’re not easy to draw, and are very important to the expression of the image. I don’t rest until I’m happy with it!
I use wrist motions for small details, and arm motions for larger details. The tablet I use is a 9×12. I find the smaller tablets too cramped, and really limit your flow.
