Excellent news! My website is getting close to complete! This evening, I managed to implement an RSS parser so that I can display a condensed version of my blog on my gallery site! I’m pretty proud of myself and the progress this enables! It’ll allow the main gallery page to be linked closely with my blog site. And since my blog site will mostly be focussed on in depth looks at my artwork and figurine photo shoots, it too will be closely linked to my gallery site. Now the issue is how to make the blog’s appearance fit in a little closer with the gallery site, as they’re both VERY different in terms of style. I’m getting better with CSS, but not to the point of understanding enough PHP to create a good stylesheet for WordPress, unfortunately… Perhaps I’ll have to dismantle an existing theme off wordpress and analyze it. For now though, the stock WordPress themes will have to do…
Well, another year has passed, and another one begins. The only difference is that I rarely make new year’s resolutions anymore. Probably because I don’t stick to them. What’s your new year’s resolution? I suppose having a new year’s resolution helps you stay on track, but then, why wait until new year’s to do that? All that ends up happening is you have a whole lot of enthusiasm to try and meed your resolutions, and then you give up after a couple of months, if at all. How’s that different from regular resolutions throughout the year? Usually, new year’s resolutions are ambitious, and outright impossible. “I’m gonna lose 20 pounds in the next two months!” and then after three weeks, you realize you’ve only lost 5 pounds, you give up. “This is impossible! I might as well forget it.” I guess if you’re really diligent, you’d be able to stick to the resolution… just set something a little more reasonable, I guess. Now that the majority of the high priority tasks are done, I can start focussing on some of the things that I’ve been putting off, like my website. My art. Reading up on some finance stuff (maybe). The […]
Happy Holidays! I’m in the process of linking my blog to my web gallery and replacing the old site that I have running in favor of using a wordpress blogging system. I don’t know right now if I’m going to go with wordpress.com or if I’m going to make a blog on my own server… It’d be a bit to set up for sure, but then everything would be localized, and I’ll have access to modifying the CSS to my liking. Decisions, decisions, decisions…. The main aspect of my new site, the gallery, has already been set up and is fully functional. It just hasn’t been released out for viewing yet. I want to make sure all the other aspects of my site will be working when I launch, including converting the old tutorials to WordPress. For now, you can still check out the existing site https://www.radiantdreamer.net Wishing you the very best, happy holidays to you!
I never thought that this would ever happen to me, but it looks like I’m overloaded. I suppose everyone in their blogging life will do this eventually. My new Super Secret Project is underway, but I think I’m behind in it. If you’ve been paying attention to some specific game forums, you may already have an idea what this project is. Put 2 and 2 together! 😀 Mice Heist is pretty much done now, but we’ve been looking for a marketing team to help us push our game. It’s gonna cost us quite a bit of money (I’m talking two year’s worth of anime figures based on my current buying rate) Read more!
A lot has happened since the beginning of the year until now. Much of which has been backlogged due to a busy schedule. It’s not just games, but life in general, and the fact that I’ve been trying to stay busy. This week is no different. Another major project has landed on my lap (that I can’t reveal), which I’m more than happy to do. But I can’t neglect my readers. You guys are very important to me, and it means a lot when you guys come check out my small little world, and comment. So here’s a bunch of photos that I’ve taken since arriving back from Singapore, many of which are things that I want to talk about in the future on this blog, but have been backlogged. Read more!
A lot of stuff has happened in these past couple of weeks that I’d like to post about, but really lack the time. I fixed a couple of broken figures, cleaned figures, got new figures, I actually attended an Olympic event, and did some commission work. In addition, I’ve been working like a fiend on my new iPhone game. I’ve also been playing a lot of Resonance of Fate (yes, it won me over Final Fantasy XIII) and thoroughly enjoying it. It reminds me a lot of Valkyria Chronicles for some reason, which was also epic. Read more!
Sorry for the complete lack of updates last week, as well as my lack of responding to all your comments. I’ve been quite busy with work lately, and I’ve also been laying it pretty hard with gaming (I finished three games this February!) I’m going to switch gears for a little bit, and change my priorities. With work coming on heavy, and me wanting to fit in more gaming, I’ll have less time to blog. [Edit: Added for clarification] What does this mean? This does NOT mean I’m stopping blogging. I’ll still be doing posts. Posting frequency will change – It may not be on time anymore. No figure reviews – it takes a lot of time to snap photos, and even more time to process and type stuff for them. More art – basically, more sketching, sometimes a full image. Photoshopping – may become more frequent, or less frequent. Dunno! Special features dropped – articles like Anime Pride, Current Collection, etc. will be put on hold for a while. Postings will consist of single image/wallpaper, and a youtube video. That’s about it for content. Comment replies will happen in bulk rather than instant. Comments to friends blog posts will […] Read more!
Pretty big megapost today! It’s time for Chinese New Year (with some Taiga!), Valentine’s Day, and the Vancouver 2010 Olympics! I thought about doing separate posts for each, but they’re all pretty important! Let’s get started! Read more!
So I’ve got a nice commissioned job that I have been working on this week. No time to do any other photoshop work, or talk about anything else. But instead of leaving you hanging, here are some random photos I took over the past little while. Enjoy! Read more!
I’m sure most of you have come up against the problem of owning too many anime figures, that you’re running out of room. My own personal solution is to rotate them, and keep some of them in storage. This keeps things fresh. You may recall a previous post on my collection, so let’s see how things have changed since then. Read more!
