Black Lagoon – Revy 1:6 Polystone

I’ve had this version of Revy for a while now, but it’s only recently that I actually took her out of the packaging. I originally ordered her with the full intention to sell. Seeing as polystone figures seem to be expensive and all, I thought that I could make a small amount from it (like $20 or something). Turns out, that demand for her at the time wasn’t very high. I don’t know if it still is that low, but regardless, I decided to keep her. She’s now on display, but at a sacrifice of putting two other figures away in order to make the space.

Gothic Devil Girl – hobbyfan -Sparkle-

Last week, my order for the Gothic Devil Girl from hobbyfan arrived. I would have to say that I’m very impressed with Sparkle’s work. The paint is excellent, with nary a single mistake with their paint lines. Very accurate, and very detailed, with no bleeds, no stray paint, no rough surfaces. It came packed in a nice labeled box in a very well protected cut foam.

Miku Hatsune Vocaloid Nendoroid

What a super cutie! I had mistakenly on a whim cancelled my pre-order for her a while back, and didn’t realize it until it was too late. Fortunately, shino was able to hook me up and I was lucky enough to own her. I must say, she’s way cuter than I had expected, with very clean lines and detail. Unfortunately, my Miku tends to fall apart very easily. Especially the hair pieces. But overall, very well done. The fact that she can stand without needing a stand is definitely a bonus.

Gothic Devil Girl with Cross available at Hobbyfan

I’m sure many of you remember this figure. Well she’s available again, from hobbyfan! I’ve been wanting to get this figure since I saw her in Replicant magazine. It did show that a PVC version was available in that book, but I don’t think one ever got released. So for those of you that really wanted to get a hold of this from e2046, but never got the chance, Hobbyfan is your answer. Considering figure prices nowadays at upwards to 7800 yen, $118 for this prepainted resin statue is pretty good. Rakka – Haibane Renmei

Rakka from Haibane Renmei, created by Yoshitoshi Abe of Serial Experiments Lain. This figure was manufactured by Creator’s Labo, and is on my to sell list. But before I part with her and list her for sale, I wanted to do a photoshop of her. She’s very photogenic, and I was very surprised at how beautiful the raw photos turned out.

When Kino was announced, I immediately knew I had to buy her. In addition, when I saw Emiya from Fate/Zero, I knew that Kino and him would make a great looking pair. Personally, I think she looks better with Emiya than Saber does. The green in Kino’s outfit actually complements Emiya’s black very well.

It’s been a while since I got back into doing figure photography. I managed to nab Alvis Hamilton from Last Exile fame off of an etailer for a very good price of $25. Before she arrived, I had already planned a photoshoot of her in rainy weather. I just couldn’t resist those cute little gumm boots.
