Goodbye Mochi. Have a good one.

It’s been a while since I have posted. I wish though, that it was under better circumstances. Last night, I helplessly watched my adorable little hamster Mochi, breathe his last painful breath while he lay warm in my hands. He had a great run, though for only a short one year. He provided great therapy for my wife and me, and was always there when we needed him. We did what we could to give him a happy home. He was our first furry friend, and I still think he’s the cutest little guy we’ve ever met. He learned to love, I think, and appreciate. My wife and I learned to love and appreciate what he had to offer for us too. He will be missed dearly. Here are some videos of his life:

Queen’s Gate Alice Arrives.

My Queen’s Gate Alice arrived today. No time to actually do a photoshoot or a photoshop image, but there’s always time to boast. 🙂 She was the last one in stock at e2046. Lucky me! Or unlucky me, depending on how you look at it. (Chun knows what I’m talking about). Hopefully, she’ll be my next photoshop subject. With Halloween coming up, she is a good candidate for some goth-y girls and some pumpkin pie! In the next couple of months, I’ll most likely be VERY busy. Work is starting to pick up again, and I still have art to do at home. In addition, my backlog of games are getting bigger every day (okay, I exaggerate). Wow! It’s only been a short amount of time, and already Radiantdreamer has reached 40,000 hits! I’m happy to provide content to my viewers, especially the photoshop kind! I apologize for the lack of a photoshop celebration image, but it’s been pretty busy lately, and Little Big Planet beta had me hooked for quite a while! Thanks everyone for the continued support! Metal Gear Revy 4

To celebrate my completion of Metal Gear Solid 4, I decided to make a photoshop image of Revy in the Metal Gear world. I’ve kind of always had this impression that Revy hung out a lot in dusty South American, and Middle Eastern regions for some odd reason. I’ve never seen the anime so I wouldn’t know. It might be her striking resemblance to a certain Ms. Croft. A whole 25 photos and a review after the jump!

I’ve had this ambitious idea in my mind for at least two months now (maybe even three). The original idea was to have them hold Playstation 3 controllers, since Konata is all about the Playstation. But well… I couldn’t get their hands to get close enough. Besides, Wii is way more of a party system anyway. More on how this images was accomplished after the jump!

My latest arrival is Chua Churam from Chu X Chu Idol. I know nothing about the series (if it even is a series) but I knew I had to have her when I saw her. The flowing dress and everything was just too exquisite to pass up. She is, in fact, the reason why I sold Ignis the White. I figure that having one or two flowing dress figures is enough, so something had to go. I must say, I am happy with that decision.

Miku Hatsune in SC4?! Well, sort of…

The Create a Soul feature of Soul Calibur IV is pretty fully featured this time around. They’ve added a lot of detail to it in order to make clothes fit better, have more colored parts, and overall good revamp of the color tinting system so things don’t go completely out of whack when tweaking colors. Several people on NeoGAF have already made some great recreations. I’ve posted my own recreations here, as well as a few of my favorites that I’ve seen on GAF, with minor modifications. Note that all details are color calibrated as accurately as possible, and with Japanese voices instead of English.

Miku Paint!! Nendoroids Are Beneficial to Learning!

I’ve been looking back at my own artwork again, and since I haven’t painted in a long time, decided to try some exercises. I want to move more towards realism, in whatever way I can, and try to create things that are unique in both anime and realism – a hybrid as you may have heard me talk about it before. One thing that I did want to improve upon was understanding light and shadow more. So I did a couple of exercise studies and painted a few things that I saw on my desk. It wasn’t very fun until I decided to give Miku a try.

I would have to say that I am MOST impressed with aquiring this figure. For a very long time, I’ve been waiting for a version of Saber that really appealed to me – both in dynamic pose, and in detail. In part, this would be my first armored Saber and first Figma in one go. Fortunately, when I made the purchase, I had committed to this being the first and last Figma I would purchase (for the sake of my wallet, my sanity, and my marriage). I had to make it a good one. Thankfully it is.
